Crews from Decatur Utilities will be performing gas construction at the intersection of Trinity Ln SW & Cockrell Ave SW on Thursday, June 4th from 8 a.m. until approximately 8 p.m. During this time, Decatur Utilities asks that motorists approach the work zone at reduced speed and with extreme caution. As always, be aware of crews, equipment, and all traffic control present in the area.

YOU can help the DU Community Crew raise infant hygiene items for agencies that assist the less fortunate! We are having a supply drive through Monday so United Way's Kids Interested in Volunteer Service can sort them next Tuesday for distribution to those who need them! Drop you items by the DU lobby and "Fill the Tub" by the main entrance! Your donations will help less fortunate infants stay clean and healthy through proper hygiene. Suggested items are baby wipes, baby lotion, baby powder...basically any hygiene product suitable for infants to toddlers. Thanks so much!

The Decatur Utilities Water Resources Group will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the city through Thursday, June 11th. During this time, customers may see water flowing from hydrants into nearby drainage ditches. This is a normal part of DU’s operational process for maintaining water quality throughout the city. This operation will have no impact on water pressure for customers near the hydrants being flushed.
