Communication Is Key to Student Success!

At Decatur Public Schools, we believe that open, honest, and respectful communication is essential to student success. Strong communication and collaboration between home and school help us build a supportive, welcoming environment where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.

We understand that every family has different communication preferences. Whether through in-person meetings, emails, phone calls, or text messages, we encourage families and staff to maintain open lines of communication. By listening to one another, sharing questions and concerns, and working together, we can better understand the needs of our students and ensure they receive the support they deserve.

We also recognize that not everyone feels comfortable using traditional communication methods. To make it easier for everyone to connect with us, we have introduced an additional way to share questions, concerns, or feedback.
Here’s how to reach us:
• On our website: Visit RaiderPride.org. On the far-right side of the top navigation bar, click “Questions? Concerns?” You can submit your question or concern and include your contact information if you would like a response. You may also choose to remain anonymous.
• On our mobile app: Tap “More” at the bottom of the screen, then select “Questions? Concerns?”

At Decatur Public Schools, every voice matters. We value the perspectives of our students, families, staff, and community members. Communication is a shared responsibility, and when we work together, we strengthen the partnership between home and school and create better opportunities for all students to succeed.

Thank you for being an important part of our Raider community!
