The dollar just hit its strongest level against the euro in about a year. EUR/USD has been sliding for weeks and is now trading in the low 1.13s, territory it hasn't seen since last summer.

For anyone buying property in Spain right now, this matters. A stronger dollar means more buying power on the ground in Valencia, Alicante, or anywhere else on the coast. On a €500,000 purchase, even a few cents of movement in the exchange rate can mean thousands of dollars in either direction.

Nobody can time the market perfectly, and I'm not a currency advisor. But there are tools worth knowing about, like locking in a rate ahead of closing, that some buyers use to take the guesswork out of a purchase. Worth asking a specialist whether something like that fits your situation.
