Welcome back Scotties and welcome new Scotties!! It’s almost time for another year of Studio Dance Theatre! Our audition this year will be taking place in the dance studio, on August 22nd from 2-4:30, come ready to dance! Up next in our Senior Summer Showcase is Laine Weber! Laine is a French and English Literature Creative Writing double major from Rome, Georgia. They have been dancing since the age of 8 and particularly enjoy ballet. Laine’s favorite SDT memory was getting to experience dancing and performing in different areas on campus, including the McCain Library, Julia Thompson Smith Chapel, the Winter Theater, and Gaines Chapel. Beside dance, Laine was involved with and worked on the 2024 Writer’s Festival magazine and enjoys hobbies such as photography and hanging out with their cat, Mint.
