Recently inducted into the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame, Scott Miller is a roots-rock singer/songwriter who returned to his native Virginia to tend the family farm without ever slowing down musically. A Staunton native who first made his name as guitarist and songwriter with 90s pop-rock band the V-Roys, Miller has since built a reputation as a gifted and eclectic solo artist rooted in rural Virginia, history, and Appalachia. AllMusic puts it well: he combines "the emotional honesty and intelligence of a singer/songwriter with the swagger and enthusiasm of a rock & roller."

He's toured with Patty Griffin, Robbie Fulks, Paul Thorn, and American Aquarium. This December, he's at Eddie's Attic.

Two serious musicians, one stage, one Tuesday night in Decatur.

Kelly McFarling is an Atlanta-raised, Bay Area-forged indie-folk singer/songwriter with a voice that draws comparisons to Laura Marling, Bonnie Raitt, and JJ Cale, and a catalog spanning five albums including her latest, Bed of a River, recorded at Spacebomb Studios with producer Matthew E. White. Scott Hirsch is a co-founder of Hiss Golden Messenger, Grammy-nominated producer, and solo artist whose own music has been called "JJ Cale on cough syrup" by Aquarium Drunkard... his latest record Lost Padres dropped just this year.
