I drove out to United Regional in Wichita Falls today to visit pastor Will Aston who is still in the ICU. 3 weeks ago pastor Will had a heart attack while at home. He eventually went to the hospital to be checked out and it was discovered that he had 3 blocked arteries. 1 at 100% and 2 others at 95%.

After a seemingly successful triple bypass surgery pastor Will suffered a stroke while still at the hospital. Pastor Will has remained in the ICU on a ventilator. He has very limited response to the doctors and very limited control on his left side (arm and hand).

But today while praying over him his left foot “danced” as we prayed.

Please join me in praying for pastor Will. Pray that our Heavenly Father (Jehovah-Rapha) would touch his body and bring healing to him. Pray that his wife Linda and their adult children would be comforted as they sit with him in the hospital. Pray also for Antelope Baptist as they continue to be the hands and feet of Christ in the community of Antelope.

We are helping them with pulpit supply during this time as they look to the future.

Today was another “best laid plans” ministry day. I was walking out the door to head to Jerymn Baptist Church about an hour away. I received a text from Pastor Jack at First Baptist Jacksboro saying he was sick and not sure if he could preach. I told him I was on my way towards his community, just let me know if he needs my help.

As I was pulling into Jacksboro he texted again saying he was not going to be able to preach. So I pulled into the church parking lot and with about 5 minutes before the service started I opened my Bible and prayed a simple prayer: “Lord I desperately need you to hide me behind your cross and for you to speak to your people.”

The Lord answered and the people of FBC Jacksboro were gracious and kind.
