The Dixon Water Foundation promotes healthy watersheds through sustainable land management to ensure that we have the water resources we need for now and for generations to come. Through our ranch demonstration sites and the grants we fund, we hope to ultimately impact how Texans protect the great environmental resources of our state.

A two-day workshop lead by Holistic Management International (HMI) at the Dixon Water Foundation's beautiful Leo Ranch in Decatur, TX April 30 - May 1, 2026.

This 2-day hands-on workshop aimed at helping land stewards achieve better results through observation and interpretation.

We had a great time at the annual conference last week in Houston. Congrats to the students who had featured posters and oral presentations. We were excited to see 3 posters from students showing preliminary results for work that includes our West Texas Mimms Unit. #

It’s been hard work breaking ice and maintaining water availability to the cattle, horses, sheep and dogs on the ranches. Despite the cold, everything is doing well. Thanks to our committed ranch managers!
