Central Christian Church Decatur IL

Contemporary Worship Service is Turning 10!!!
In October of 2016, Central inaugurated a third (contemporary) worship service. This means that this fall, the contemporary service is turning 10! We are planning two (2) events to help commemorate the event.

Saturday, November 14
Fellowship Dinner – 6:00 p.m.
Music from our praise band will play in the background throughout the meal, along with a slide show from 10 years of worship! There will be a trivia game, some “thank yous” and our special guests will be Dennis and Rev. Tina Miller (who were here when the service came into being).

Sunday, November 15
Worship – 9:15 a.m.
Rev. Tina Miller will be our preacher, and we will have special refreshments to honor our 10 years together. Note: Pastor Michael will preach the 8:00 and 10:30 services that day.

Here are two (2) ways you can be involved!
1) Come to the dinner!! This is an invitation to the whole church, for whether you regularly attend the 9:15 service or not, your support of Central is a support of the contemporary service, and we want to celebrate with you! RSVP by emailing [email protected].

Note from the office: Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve the dinner and clean up after. There are sign-up sheets for both attending the dinner and for volunteering. You may also let the church office know ([email protected] or call 217-428-4336).

2) Share with us your 10-Sentence Testimony
The contemporary service at Central is turning 10 this Fall!!! It was on October 2, 2016 that the service launched. You have been an important part of this service’s effectiveness! And we want you to help us celebrate. In addition to a Celebration Dinner on November 14 at 6:00 p.m. and a special Celebration Worship on November 15 at our usual 9:15 time, we are collecting “10-Sentence Testimonies.” In no more than 10 sentences, please answer the following question: “How has the contemporary service made a difference in my life?” Email your responses to: [email protected].

Daylight Savings Time ends at 2 AM on Sunday morning!
Remember to turn your clocks back 1 hour before bed tonight, or you'll be an hour early to church!
