How often do we complicate things by overthinking them? For me, the answer is daily...at least. When it comes to the global water crises it's easy to get bogged down in the enormity of the problem and feel stuck not knowing what to actually do. But sometimes, we just need a minor shift in perspective. Use a week of vacation time to go see a place off the tourist track, make a donation to a water org whose mission you really believe in, or take a cold bottle of water to a homeless person. It doesn't have to be Nicaragua or Trashwater. Anything you can do to shift the way you see the problem and intersect resources and time with it is good for all of us.

Happy Monday! If you're anything like us you spent this past weekend soaking up the sun and being really, really hot (I'm talking to you especially Atlanta). Please stay hydrated out there and remember to do what you can who don't have access to safe, clean water like we do.

This is what the pipe looked like under the Boys Home in Managua. They are currently laying all new, PVC pipe which, in conjunction with the UV filter we provided will allow the boys and workers to drink safe, rust-free water from now on. In 7 years of working in Nicaragua we have seen pipes like this more times than not.
