Beloved, yet problematic literature can have a place in the classroom - in the history classroom as source material. One of the many reasons why teaching students how to read primary sources is so important.

What to Do with Little House My mother read aloud to me every day growing up. Picture books at first, I’m sure, but I remember the chapter books most vividly. She read me E.B. White’s trilogy of children’s books -- we both agree that Charlotte’s Web is the best one, though I wonder now if I should revisit
