The WSOY Community Food Drive is back, and schools across Macon County have an incredible opportunity to make a lasting impact in the fight against hunger—while also competing for big rewards! Thanks to our generous community partners, the top five schools that raise the most food and dollars will win cash prizes. And thanks to the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation, this year’s prizes have been doubled with the top school winning $5000! Last year’s competition was fierce, with a tie for first place between St. Teresa High School and St. Patrick’s School—each taking home $5,000. Mt. Zion High School, Holy Family, and Our Lady of Lourdes also landed in the top five. Who will take the prizes this year?

This is just a sampling of the awesome work all of our volunteers are doing today. Way to go Day 2 Crews!!!

The FMSC team is here and setup is underway. We can't wait to welcome you for the 6:00 PM packing session. (Thank you to our setup volunteers!)

Volunteers should enter through the East doors of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (Decatur, IL) and go to the check in area upon arrival. Please come 15-20 minutes before the session begins so we can start on time.

IMPACT GLOBALLY AND SUPPORT LOCALLY

The work we'll do through the Feed My Starving Children Decatur Community MobilePack is our way to help reach the places of this world where food is incredibly scarce and hunger is abundant. MannaPack meals bring hope for a future and life-sustaining meals to days-empty bellies. This is one place where Central Illinois soybean crops become the main protein source, and we have a chance to make a connection with children and families in countries we may never step foot in.

But with that, we have local needs and concerns too - families right here in Macon County that rely on the services and sustenance provided by the nonprofit organizations in our area. They need our support too and you can do your part through the annual WSOY Community Food Drive happening on October 3rd. Donate food or monetary support to help this event make an impact right here at home.

There are many ways you can give to the WSOY Community Food Drive. Text WSOY to 26989, Venmo or Donate Online at WSOYFoodDrive.com. You can also drop off your donation during the WSOY Community Food Drive on October 3rd at the Kroger on Route 36 in the Airport Plaza. Help us fill our local food pantries in Decatur and Macon County.
