Today's Attorney Spotlight is about Chidi (Chee-Dee) Wachukwu!
Chidi was born in Abia, Nigeria and moved to Chicago where she graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Black Studies. She then earned her Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law in Indiana.

Prior to joining Hawkins, Amero & Root P.C., Chidi served as both prosecutor and public defender in Macon County. During her time as a public servant, she handled a variety of cases, including criminal misdemeanor, felony, traffic, juvenile abuse and neglect, juvenile delinquency and adoption cases.

Chidi is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois. She is a member of the Central Illinois Black Bar Association, Decatur Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association.
