The Picture Project

This was taken at 5:50 am, Mountain Time, on 2026-06-24 in Crestone, Colorado. This is looking back east over the San De Cristo Mountain range

At that time, fires were burning out of control in states west of
CO, but we didn't understand where this was going to go. The smoke made it to central Colorado by that early morning from Utah, Nevada, etc.

We left Crestone a few days later on 2026-06-28, and fires were burning out of control all over Colorado, including north and east of us.
