A lot of tough news lately, but the toughest may be the news about Kirk’s passing. I got to know him quite well during my time at USAC, and he grew to be a friend over the years as we both had a shared disdain for all the cheaters in the sport of cycling. He was a tough competitor, but he had a huge heart and was always trying to be the best person he could be and leave a positive impact in this world. He was helping others all the way until the end of his time here on earth. I was thankful to see him at Cheaha the past few years and stay in touch as I left the cycling world behind. RIP Kirk Corsello.

Fantastic day running the half. It was special because this was Jack’s first half, and it turned out to be a great day for both of us despite dreary, challenging conditions. Had the privilege of hanging on to Marco Arop, silver medalist in the 800M in Paris and 800M World Champion, for the first several miles. He pulled away to the win while I held on for 3rd overall and beat the next closest guy in my age group by about 19 minutes. Nice PR despite a late fall on the slick concrete. Jack came in with a super impressive time of 1:23 to finish 7th overall and 2nd in his age group. Guess that training advice from dad is paying off🙂
