Oh I forgot to post my book. I was so overestimated with all those rings but it definitely completed the look and went with the book Grown by Tiffany Jackson.

Sew Modest Studio had the pleasure of being apart of this beautifully curated Black Art and Fashion event called Preservation curated by .co ! It's a three day experience. Yesterday was the Gallery exhibition hosted at Irwin House Museum. Its kind of surreal to be having this experience of sharing my work and my students work in this stunning black owned space that's two blocks from where I went to high-school 🥰😍 When I was a teenager I remember many well meaning teachers and mentors telling us to get out! To take our talents and run. They fully believed that escape was the only way up and out of poverty. I'm deeply grateful to have been able to work and study and travel all over the world but baby it's nothing like Detroit!! The creativity, talent passion and grite are unmatched. Detroit artist, designers and creatives tap in!
