✨ Welcome, Fr. Epitasy Makala, C.PP.S.! ✨
We are blessed to introduce Fr. Epitasy Makala, C.PP.S., who will be joining the St. Gaspar Family of Parishes in October. Originally from Tanzania, Fr. Epitasy was ordained in 2011 and has faithfully served in leadership roles within his province. Now, he begins a new chapter in parish ministry at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dayton, as well as with our parish family.
Fr. Epitasy is eager to learn, adapt, and share his gifts with our community, and he is deeply grateful for the warm welcome he has already received. Let us keep him in our prayers as he begins this exciting new journey with us. 🙏

Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We hold in prayer the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever changed, the first responders who gave everything, and all who still carry invisible wounds from that day.

As we reflect on this anniversary, our hearts also ache for the violence still present in our world and our culture today—school shootings that steal young lives, acts of hatred that divide. These moments remind us of our shared need for peace, healing, and the steady light of Christ in times of darkness.

Let us pray today for peace, for healing, and for the courage to love as Christ loves.
