If your pricing lives inside someone’s head, you don’t have a strategy. You have a liability.
A lot of green industry companies run on gut feelings instead of systems. It works — until someone leaves, you hire someone new, or you try to scale.
Here’s what fixes it:
→ Know your gross margin goal. No target, no system. Just guessing.
→ Price backwards from that number. Does this job hit your margin goal if everything goes to plan?
→ Teach your team what it means. A 45% gross margin is not a 45% profit. Show them where the dollar actually goes.
