Our precious Ivy Snow and her shopping bag. I can’t wait to visit Sophia in August and let her have her own shopping bag. I usually will send her money when we do these trips and she doesn’t get to go but this time we are going to her , so it will be fun spoiling her too!!

Most of us don’t share our stories, at least not all of them but if you have good things to share and you survived the good, bad and the ugly…why not? My oldest calls my facebook my imaginary friends! lol šŸ˜‚ It is what it is! You do you !!

I have used social media for alot of things, especially my business. I’m not stupid lol. šŸ‘šŸ˜‰

It s Saturday and I’ve enjoyed vacation with my family . We are driving back to Georgia with our daughter in laws new car they bought from our oldest daughter.

I’m thinking of all the things I want to do to our master bedroom! I can’t wait to bring it all about . Then on to the next project but first Ivy snow and James are coming to vbs in a couple of weeks!! We can’t wait!!šŸ˜

Enjoy your summer but don’t forget to stay on task. šŸ‘ā¤ļø

Frank holding on to two of our beautiful grandchildren.🄰

As our kids were growing up we taught them the value of the dollar. In other words money doesn’t grow on trees. They worked when they were teenagers. There is a part of you that hates to put that on them so young but I believe it helps them in a lot of ways.

A lot of times when we were working extra jobs I would pay our oldest to do do laundry etc. I didn’t want her to feel my work fell on her and also for her to have the feeling of being paid for a job well done. An allowance….nothing wrong with it!

Our oldest were life guards for the YMCA during the summer and then afterschool workers during the school year. When they started driving they both paid for their own cars with money they saved from working themselves…Grace worked at Chick fila. She loved it and especially when Mark came on the scene . I remember her telling me how he could sing and play any instrument, so talented! The boy sings like Randy Travis. ā¤ļø

Back to the working. It kept them from too much idle time. No time to get in trouble. We are thankful!

In the middle of all this Annie had been dating a young man that grew up in our Church and had rode our Church bus. Frank taught Andrew in children’s Church. There will always be people to give you an opinion, we all have one. We have to think for ourselves. We prayed and knew that Andrew was a fine young man. They are definitely better together. Behind every good man is a strong woman. He has surpassed all the expectations we had for her! Excelling as a Sargent , a Marine. The best dad!! I’ve said he’s Annie’s right hand man, he helps her with everything and they take their kids to church! What a blessing!ā¤ļø

There is nothing like that sound. It is so beautiful and relaxing!! The ocean🌊

Truly our children have been such a blessing to us. It was an honor for Frank to walk both our girls down the aisle when they married. God blessed us the opportunity to give both such gorgeous weddings.

The years went by swiftly. Frank spent a lot of time with Tim taking him to see ballgames. It’s something they both enjoyed. They planned road trips to see the braves in Florida for their spring training. In the midst of working and providing he took time with him.

Grace was growing up too. She was the baby and my side kick. We did Everything together. So confident and talented. We were not perfect parents and they are not perfect kids but they do love people and are not selfish. They grew up going with their grandparents to the nursing home as they had a ministry there. They would help get the patients to the service as their Papa preached.

We never expected Grace to get married so young and move so many miles away. I will never forget her coming home and talking about this Missionary boy at work. She loved music and they would talk about it and Church. I’ve said she met her husband at the Lords chicken place. Chick-fil-A! lol. But we are so thankful! She has such a wonderful husband and a beautiful life and He provides for her well.

As I ramble on …lol. I never tell anything I wouldn’t want people to know. Often people make grand presumptions of you without truly knowing you. Their perspective comes from what they see on the service. If we are honest, we are all guilty of it. God gives us grace and we have to learn to give it to others too!
