How cats see the world compared to humans

Visual field — This refers to the area that can been when the eyes focus on a single point. It includes what can be seen straight ahead, as well as above, below, and to the side. Cats have a slighter wider visual field of 200 degrees compared to the average human visual field of 180 degrees.

Visual acuity — This refers to clearness of vision. The average human has a visual acuity of 20/20. A cat's visual acuity is anywhere from 20/100 to 20/200, which means a cat has to be at 20 feet to see what an average human can see at 100 or 200 feet

Color vision — It's a common misconception that cats can't see
any colors, only shades of gray. Humans are known as trichromats, meaning they have three kinds of cones that allow them to see red, green, and blue. Cats are also thought to be trichromats, but not in the same way that humans are. A cat's vision is similar to a human
who is color blind. They can see shades of blue and green, but reds and pinks can be confusing. These may appear more green, while purple can look like another shade of blue. . This is why the bottom picture
is so blurry.

Good Morning!

We were in conversation with a gentleman yesterday who had mobility issues and wanted a Service Dog. Service Animals can only be dogs or in some cases miniature horses.

How do you get a Service Dog?

This is a question we hear a lot. You can search the internet and you will not find the “how”. You can find who has one already trained for said disability, but now your looking at spending $12,000 and up. Last time I checked disabled people are on a limited (very limited) income. $12,000 would be a years’ worth of housing and utilities.
