Stateline Beekeepers Association

The association has grown from 10 beekeepers to more than 60 and includes beekeepers with many different backgrounds and lifestyles. Some of our beekeepers have a single hive, others have several, even as many as 1,600 hives. Hello y'all!
Tomorrow is the night!
We are back in our regular room...

A retiring beekeeper will be bringing equipment and supplies to the meeting tomorrow. Our understanding is that it will be given to members who may like them. They would like to give boxes to a new beekeeper if possible. I DON'T have a list of what they will be bringing but if you are interested, please come to the meeting!

Tuesday November 12 at 6:00 at the Farm Bureau Building - 210 S. Spring Street in Freeport.
Meeting begins at 6 with a pot luck (be creative!) Please bring a sample of your honey so we can have an informal honey tasting.
We'll have a roundtable and a discussion about winter prep.

Hello Stateline Beekeepers Family!
We have good news!

Save the date!

Our summer gathering is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, starting at 11:00 am. It will be held at Torstenson Youth Conservation Education Center, located at 13735 Cook Road in Pecatonica, IL. It will be held in the Learning Center Building - rain or shine!

The club will provide the main course (grilling!). Please bring a salad, side dish, or dessert to share. We will have plates, silverware, glasses and drinks.

We will have a smoker contest. Bring your smoker and favorite fuel. The contest starts promptly at 11:30. You'll have 10-15 minutes to get your smoker going. No late starters! The winner will get a gift card.

We hope to have a speaker; we'll verify details as it gets closer to the date.

See you then!
