On the way to a gig in Carmel today, Marina State Beach practically demanded a quick pit stop. I tried explaining to the ocean that I was on a schedule, but apparently waves don't care about deadlines.

A few minutes of salty air, a front-row seat to the Pacific, and suddenly the traffic doesn't seem quite as offensive.

Not a bad office view before heading back to the real job.

Now it's time to trade beach vibes for work gloves and pretend I wasn't just contemplating becoming a full-time beach bum.
