4/10 Virtual Event: The Science of Learning and Teaching at Home During COVID-19

Dear FAU Language Development Lab Families,
We hope you are well and are adjusting to the “new normal” as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds.
We would like to update you with a few things the Language Development Lab is doing to keep on moving forward.
We have and continue to postpone all visits until further notice following the university and health organization’s guidelines of social distancing. This is for the safety of you and your loved ones as well as our staff.
We will be calling you after your child’s birthday to explain some of the things we can still do remotely to continue with our research study. We know that throughout the years your children have come to expect our visits and we hope that meeting with them using other means contributes to some normalcy for your child.
As soon as we are able to resume visits, we will contact you. Thank you so much for your continuing support of our study, we miss you all and look forward to seeing you soon!

Estimadas familias de FAU Language Development Lab,
Esperamos que todos ustedes estén bien y se estén adaptando a la “nueva realidad” a medida que la pandemia de COVID-19 se desarrolla.
Nos gustaría actualizarlos con algunas cosas que el Laboratorio de Desarrollo del Lenguaje está haciendo para seguir avanzando.
Hemos y seguiremos posponiendo todas las visitas hasta nuevo aviso siguiendo las pautas de distanciamiento social de la universidad y de las organizaciones de salud. Esto es para la seguridad de usted y sus seres queridos, así como la de nuestro personal.
Le llamaremos después del cumpleaños de su hijo(a) para explicarle algunas de las cosas que aún podemos hacer de forma remota para continuar con nuestro estudio de investigación. Sabemos que con el paso de los años sus hijos han aprendido a esperar nuestras visitas y esperamos que al reunirnos con ellos por otros medios podamos contribuir en algo a un sentido de normalidad para su hijo.
Tan pronto como podamos reanudar las visitas, nos comunicaremos con ustedes. ¡Muchas gracias por su apoyo continuo a nuestro estudio, los extrañamos a todos y esperamos verlos pronto!
