ATTENTION !!
Raefords Barber Shop will be reopening Saturday, May 23 under the guidelines of Governor Cooper's Phase 2 requirements. These requirements allow us to reopen operating under Covid-19 precautions such as controlling crowd size, wearing a face mask, and implementing sterilization procedures. Due to these restrictions, we will operate by appointment only.
Contact information will be provided for each barber for you to schedule with them.
The shop number will be for general appointment scheduling.
Note: individual barbers can only schedule for themselves and have no knowledge of other barbers' schedules.

When can barbershops reopen?

The governor announced that barbershops must remain closed for about two to three weeks from May 8, and possibly longer. The length of time will depend on what epidemiological data show about hospitalizations, testing, and infection and death rates. For now, a rough estimate of a reopening date is May 22-29.

The governor hasn't announced a specific date but instead spoke about phases for reopening the economy. Barbershops will fall under Phase 2, which begins approximately two to three weeks after the stay-at-home order expires. Although the stay-at-home order is currently set to expire on May 8, it could be extended, and that would affect the timeline. The governor also suggested that the reopening of businesses, including barbershops, may be subject to certain restrictions that currently haven't been specified.
