Every time I’m given the opportunity to speak, I’m mindful of both the privilege and the responsibility that comes with it.
You have an opportunity to impart insight, challenge perspectives, contribute to someone’s growth, and often grow yourself in the process.
That could not have been more true than this week at SHRM Talent 2026 here in Dallas.
One of the core ideas we unpacked during my session was this:
“A message that doesn’t change behavior isn’t communication. It’s noise.”
In a time where organizations are flooded with communication, clarity has become one of the most valuable leadership disciplines we have.
I’m still unpacking many of the conversations, insights, and connections that came from this experience.
Thank you to everyone who attended, engaged, and leaned into the conversation.
I recently had the opportunity to talk with about her latest music project, Book of Psalms.
Her answer here stayed with me.
Many times, the greatest shift is not in what we do, but in how we choose to see.
Take a moment with this one. Then let me know what shifted for you.
