ng Turkish and American women complete their education and achieve their individual goals in life. COEDFO is managed by a five member volunteer Board of Directors which, in addition to management duties, organize fund raising events. Funds are raised through various means including the following:
-event attendance fees
-membership fees
-donations
-sale of item acquired, made or donated by members and friends
-tea and dinner parties
-sale of made or donated items at local fairs. All funds raised are applied to financial aid to deserving young women. The Board of Directors and members pay all expenses. COEDFO seeks identification of young women that are in desperate need of financial aid in order to continue their education. With the assistance of Bahcelievler (a branch of CYDD), a Turkish organization, COEDFO was able to identify and provide support to ten young women since 2010. COEDFO also supports local organizations including Can! Currently, amounts available for financial aid distributions are limited. However, the Board has applied and received Tax-Exempt, Tax-Deductible status as a charitable non-profit organization under Internal Revenue Section 501(c)(3) which will open additional sources of revenue.
