I finally got it together, y’all! 🎃🍂🍁 Well, for the most part! 🤪 Still need two small planters for the front for my baby mums. We went pumpkin shopping late this year so I didn’t get as many as last year but I kinda like it this way...keepin’ it simple seems to be the recipe for 2020.

I’m a little sad the kiddos didn’t get to go the pumpkin patch that we usually go to around here but hopefully next year! 🙏🏼

I used my Wayfair Fall wreath from last year and love it. Pumpkins are Tom Thumb and mums are Lowe's Home Improvement. Front doormat and planters are Frontgate.

Are y’all decorating your front doorsteps or skipping it this year?

Y’all, I’m so excited! First post up in foreevver! And it’s all about my favorite things that I’ve either purchased, been using, etc., during quarantine [this gold medallion necklace included.]

I’m talking jewelry [the gold necklaces and bracelet stacks you’ve been seeing everywhere], beauty [at-home hair dye and wax], fitness [fave apps] and my favorite tote!

Let me know your favorite product during the lock-down!

It has been quite an intense couple of weeks y’all...hence why I’ve been a bit MIA on social media. It’s been my first few weeks back at work post-baby and I was also planning my daughter’s baby naming.

Re-entry into the working world after baby #2 has been a totally different experience and for many different reasons. More on this later as I work through and navigate this process...

Last weekend we also had a baby naming ceremony for our daughter. In Jewish tradition, you give your daughter her Hebrew name and it’s a joyous occasion akin to your son’s circumcision. We had a small family gathering at our home after the ceremony at synagogue. You can see some of my setup in these pics. ☺️ It was so special to have some of my family come into town for it from San Antonio. 💗

Things are starting to settle down and I’m getting back into my routine. Will continue to share what I’m learning as I go along and I’m excited to continue connecting with you all...💗☺️ @ Dallas, Texas

Basic Invite My love affair with paper began quite young. 💗 It started with school supplies, then transitioned to journals / planners and then grew to cards.

My daughter’s baby naming is coming up and I started looking for “Thank You” cards online when Basic Invite reached out about their beautiful products. I ended up ordering these ‘Water bouquet’ cards and love how they turned out!

I went with a peach color on the roses and a plum hue on the berries. 🤤 You can change the color of any element on the card and there are over 180 colors to choose from! You’re able to see the preview of what you select immediately on the screen. They allow you to order a set of samples before committing which is so nice! As a “late majority” buyer, I’m all about knowing a product is legit before I commit. 😉

Today’s the last day of their sale and you can use code 15FF51 to get 15% off. Check out my latest blog post for more deets! http://loveksz.com/thank-you-cards-with-basic-invite/

Happy Friday, y’all!!

Yesterday Jess and I had our 3rd Pilates class , and it was the first time that I was able to actually do some core work. Our first two classes were all about reactivating the core and reteaching my body how to use those muscles again.

Before yesterday, if I laid down like this in tabletop and tried to extend out a leg, my back would arch, meaning my core was not properly engaging. However yesterday, I was finally able to extend out my legs with my back flat on the mat.

It’s so crazy to me that women are cleared to work out at 6 or 8 weeks but there’s no other information provided. I had no idea that once I was cleared I shouldn’t do any exercises that cause you to stick out your stomach, like planks, sit-ups, crunches and push-ups. At I started doing online videos with all of those exercises and ended up tweaking my back. My core had not been reactivated and was certainly not ready for that.

Jess and I are working on a fitness guide for postpartum women - what you should and shouldn’t do and how to know when you’re ready to work out like you used to.

Let me know if you guys have any other questions about what you should and shouldn’t be doing and if you want anything else included!
