BTS Series Ep. 1 🌺
We’re kicking things off by showing you how we make one of our favorites—our house made Papaya Seed Dressing.
I was first introduced to this dressing while working at a friend’s açaí bowl shop on Oahu. They had this incredible roasted chicken salad with papaya seed dressing, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Now we’re bringing that same flavor to Pine Isle.

As business picks up, we’re making adjustments to keep up with demand.
Reminder: we are not fast food. Everything is cooked fresh to order.

Pine Isle started as nothing more than a passion project.
We missed real local food and honestly got tired of being let down by “those” guys. We wanted to like it so badly… but it just wasn’t it.
So we decided to do it ourselves.
Our goal was simple: create food that felt on par with what we ate while living in Hawaii. Food with soul. Food made with intention. Food made with love.
No shortcuts.
Now tell us… 👀

A good friend reminded me that not everything will be as perfect as if I cooked it myself. Fair.
But I’ll never apologize for holding a high standard.
We may not hit perfection every single time, but if my team is striving for it, cooking with intention, care, and doing things the right way, then I’ve done my job as a chef.
We may just be a “hole in the wall” or a simple takeout spot to some, but that doesn’t change how we approach our food. Every sauce, every prep, every plate,we do it with pride and attention to detail.
Because no matter the size of the restaurant, standards should still matter.
