Typically FOOSH means Fall on outstretched hand but if you’re an English fan it means F*CK. A FOOSH injury is about much more than your wrist. When you land on an outstretched hand, the impact travels through your entire upper extremity, creating the potential for injuries anywhere from the wrist to the shoulder. Understanding the mechanism of injury helps us know what to evaluate, not just what hurts.
