Spending late nights working on the shop has become a ritual for me. It’s a work in progress, so I’m not taking many photos inside right now (don’t worry- I will!). At the end of the night when I close up and make my way out to the car, I’m continually in awe of how beautiful this old building is. I’m so thankful I’m getting the opportunity to work alongside great people to create a space and community I love and that I hope others will love too. We are getting SO close to opening our doors! I’ve spent the last few nights working at the shop since getting the keys. I have to say, it’s my favorite time in here. Playing music while the lights are dim. Organizing the space while having a night cap (first photo was from night one where I batched old fashioneds). I love the feeling of getting lost in all the vintage while the world is quiet. There’s so much to do, but I’m excited for all the possibilities. I took the bulk of these photos last night while I was closing up shop solo. Today my friend and business partner Melissa is bringing in her furniture and display pieces- so more changes ahead! Lots to do before the East Dock Open House next Saturday! Hope you’ll come hang out with us in our little piece of vintage heaven. ❤️

Right now we’re in talks of what will happen to the facade of our space and how our Oak Cliff Revival signage will work. Being the original 1915 brick building, AJ and his team at Proxy Properties wants to make sure they honor the historical details of the structure, which we’re all about!
