I loved Japan down but as a vegan I felt like I had to fast.. be prepared if you're a vegan and make a list of all the vegan restaurants! Something I should've done.. and I recommend booking in advance or expect to wait in line.
Unfortunately most places there cook w fish/pork. Majority of the time I'd ask for vegan, no pork, no meat, and somehow still have a chunk of meat on my dish😭 the language barrier was REALL
