CELLY 🫐 eu deadline 10/4
I’ve waffled on how to promote this situation.
We first met CELLY in kennel.
She caught my eye with her timid sweetness.
Once I was in kennel with her, she was sweetness but I hesitated to pet her head. Maybe it is the blue eye intensity? Perhaps years and hundreds of shelter dog interactions? I hesitated.
What CELLY needs is a rescue or foster / foster to adopt willing to investigate this ear touch issue further. One prepared to deal with the consequences if, in fact, CELLY’s ears cannot be touched as her preference VS a resolvable pain issue.
If you have the experience and heart to give CELLY a chance, see below for more info on her.

Oh, CELLY. I hate it if your ears are hurting. I also hate it if you don’t want people to touch your ears. Either one makes things harder. But, we love ya. Humans - act with awareness and preparedness here vs emotion. This is the best scenario for all involved. 🌳
How did you get that head dent, buddy?
Why were you so skinny when you arrived at the shelter?

RANGER 🤎 mellow belly rub guy lookin’ for love!
This boy happened to lose his human just before a Distemper outbreak hit Dallas Animal Services.
His fate, then, was about a month never getting to leave his shelter kennel.
The outbreak has mostly subsided and RANGER is BOMBPROOF!
Meaning - totally vaccinated against Distemper, never has been sick, and has been in the clear with many other BP dogs to finally get out for play yard time and he is able to go on Daycations (and into a home!).
RANGER may be the guy for you if the below dossier is a match…
• 4yo, 62lb, neutered, HW-
• chasing a ball is fun!
• cuddles are cool!
• belly rubs even better!!
• gentle treat taker
• potty trained, knows sit
• more chill dude
• PLAYGROUP: kept to self, allowed greetings, didn’t mind company of other gentle dogs
During our visit this week, RANGER wasn’t even interested in playing - he just wanted pets, cuddles, and belly rubs and to sniff around the yard.
The second we hit the yard he peed for a long time - he holds it as long as he can because he is potty trained!
A NOTE: Lots of the dogs are showing reactivity right now after being pent up for a month. I saw RANGER reacting back to dogs who were going nuts at their kennel doors as we walked by and he has a few other notes of such from this week. When I met him at the very end of July, prior to the quarantine era, he ignored other dogs as we walked by them. He, and most of the dogs, need the humans to be graceful with some DECOMPRESSION time after they bust out. They are all going to have EXTRA stress from being stuck in a kennel for so many weeks without being able to get outside, at all. This response is normal and they just need a little grace - 333 Rule is your best friend.
RANGER is available at DALLAS ANIMAL SERVICES
🪩 DAS is open 7 days a week
