In youth services, we used to bring out big trash cans and tell students:
“If it’s got a grip on you—throw it in.”

Ci******es, vapes, bottles, burned CDs, whatever it was—into the can, never to be picked up again.

But as adults, we often set our tapes aside “just in case” we want to press play again.
