𝑫𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 -
The state of lacking desire or emotional attachment to material things, people, and worldly affairs.
Some conflicting feelings that I’ve been having the past few months and wanting to visually express them. On one hand, you want so badly to have hope for someone or something, truly believing that everything will turn out for the better. Constantly trying to be optimistic and wanting to see the best in things and putting faith in it. On the other hand, when you simply run out of hope and no care left to give. Is it weakness to give up? Or is it strength to say that enough is enough? When you voice a concern or expectation over and over, just to see that nothing changes, is it strength to just detach?

𝘼𝙩𝙩𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 -
A strong feeling of being emotionally close to someone or something. Synonyms: bond, connection, affection, fondness, devotion, tie, endearment, faith, belief.
I wanted to capture and portray the 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 of attachment, the active choice of choosing to believe in the best of things. Whether it be having faith in someone, truly believing in the best of them, or the hope that a situation gets better. That when things don’t look optimistic, but choosing to have hope anyways.
