SWJC’s recent Board Retreat was everything we hoped for—productive, energizing, inspiring, and genuinely fun. We started the day with a heart-centered exercise, making sure we were in the right mindset to do the important work at hand.
Between thoughtful discussions, big-picture strategic planning, and five hours of nonstop of collaboration, we made meaningful progress on the work ahead building bridges throughout our community. 🌉
Just as important, we took time to connect, share ideas, play a few games and enjoy a delicious meal and lots of laughter along the way — including a break for popcorn 🍿 and popsicle to push through the last hour. 😉
What an incredible group of people; we had such a great time, everyone stayed an extra hour just enjoying each other’s company. 🥰
Our retreat set a strong tone for what’s next. We’re aligned, motivated, and excited about the opportunities ahead as we step into our next chapter TOGETHER! 💪
As America marks 250 years of independence, it’s a reminder that freedom isn’t free—it never has been. At SWJC, we believe it’s something each generation must protect, uphold, and continue to fight for… that’s why our work to build bridges and bring people together is so important! 🫶🏼
We are grateful for the sacrifices that brought us here and mindful of the responsibility we carry forward. What we have today exists because people refused to back down. That same responsibility is ours now and we must never take it for granted. 💪
