SKO Space is more than a project—it is a commitment to building a kinder, more inclusive future for children in Dallas and beyond.
We invite you🫵 to be part of its beginning🏙️.

SKO (Sign Kind Organization) Space was created by twin founders Ray👧🏽 & Pay👧🏽, two young advocates who grew up noticing something important. Not every child experiences communication, learning, or social interaction in the same way. Through their own personal experiences navigating communication differences, sensory sensitivities, and moments of feeling misunderstood, they developed a shared mission:

“Every child deserves a space where they feel comfortable, understood, and included…exactly👏🏽as👏🏽they👏🏽are👏🏽!”

Their journey inspired the creation of SKO Space through Sign Kind Nonprofit Corporation, a place designed to bring children together through kindness, communication, and shared learning🤗.

SKO Space exists to help children grow into adults who:
-Communicate with empathy
-Embrace differences
-Include others naturally
-Understand invisible challenges without judgment

This mission is rooted in the belief that kindness is learned through experience…not just instruction.

Our vision (as 15 year old teens who understand the challenges of living with disabilities) is to launch SKO Space: a community-centered communication and sensory learning environment designed to support inclusive learning, social confidence, and functional communication skills. We are raising startup funds to:
-Secure and prepare an accessible facility
-Build sensory-friendly learning environments
-Purchase communication and adaptive equipment
-Launch inclusive educational programming
-Provide workshops and training opportunities for families and schools
-Create employment and volunteer opportunities for individuals with disabilities

Invisible illnesses are sometimes not so invisible. Both Reagan and Payton have lived with health challenges since the age of 7 and have spent a lot of time in doctor offices and hospitals💙🥺💛. At times, they may require medical equipment such as a wheelchair or need to wear braces.

Several weeks ago, Payton had to have a feeding tube placed to bypass her stomach after battling malnutrition caused by a rare digestive disorder known as Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome. After a painful endoscopy, she was able to use sign language with one nurse to communicate since speaking was very painful. Just imagine if everyone understood basic signs 💙🤔💛?

Sign Kind is working harder than ever to share the importance of teaching others how to communicate effectively and with sensitivity. That’s why we’re working to build a place where children can learn how to communicate with kindness, ask thoughtful questions, and understand others with visible and invisible differences.

We hope you will support our efforts in opening SKO Space! Please use the link below to learn more about what Sign Kind is bringing to Dallas! 💙👇💛

Many children and teens face challenges that are not always visible. These may include communication differences, sensory sensitivities, learning challenges, or social anxiety. Without the right environment, these differences can lead to isolation or misunderstanding.

SKO Space aims to change that by teaching all children (both neurotypical and neurodivergent) how to connect with empathy, patience, and respect. We believe inclusion is a skill that can be learned early and practiced daily.
