We worked with 7-Eleven Franchising to highlight inventors whose work helped not only shape the world, but also played a part in making 7-Eleven what it is today. We’re keeping Black History Month rolling with a refreshing creation from another brilliant Black mind.

Today we’re talking about Madeline M. Turner, whose invention of the juice press serves as the original blueprint which all modern juicers are based on. Her innovative extraction process created a comfortable and efficient way to get the juice from fruits and paved the way for the present-day juice industry that brings in $2.5 billion a year.
