Think twice before dropping your mail in a big blue mailbox!
Under the new postal rules, just because you drop it in the box today doesn't mean it gets today's postmark. With new regional processing, your mail might not be stamped until it hits a hub the next day.
If you have a strict deadline for taxes, a ballot, or legal papers, head to the counter and ask for a manual postmark to guarantee today’s date! ✉️

The Heather Turner Case: A Closer Look at What’s Been Mishandled
In May 2017, Heather Turner was found dead in her Paulding County home from a gunshot wound to the head. Her death was quickly ruled undetermined, and nearly seven years later, the case remains open — and full of unanswered questions.
Heather had made plans to leave what she described in emails as an abusive relationship. Those closest to her say she had secured a place to stay and was preparing to leave her husband the very next day. Heather even warned in one email that her husband had told her, "he’d see her buried before signing divorce papers.”
Despite these documented signs of domestic abuse:
No crime scene tape was placed around the home.
The home was not secured after Heather’s death.
Her husband was never formally questioned by investigators.
Evidence collection was delayed by 13 days, during which time the bathroom was cleaned by family members.
The autopsy remains sealed by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
And despite Heather being right-handed, the fatal wound was reportedly on the left side of her head.
There were known incidents in the month leading up to her death:
A physical altercation at the courthouse with visible marks on Heather’s neck.
Written threats and abuse documented in Heather’s own emails.
Reports made to a judge and shared with law enforcement.
Yet, early decisions by officials resulted in missed opportunities to investigate thoroughly.
Heather’s family, friends, and many community members believe that what happened to her was not su***de — but a crime that was never properly investigated.
They deserve answers. Heather deserves justice.
Justice for Heather Turner
