Meet another HaHa Hospitality comedian, Jasmine Ellis. We are beyond excited to see her perform. Her standup has been described as "energetic" and "joyfully neurotic," and she's pretty sure that was a compliment. After hosting local radio shows in college and interviewing comedians, she decided to try it herself in 2013 and hasn't looked back. Jasmine had performed in Las Vegas, New York, and LA, and earned spots on several festivals, including Moon Tower Comedy Festival, Bird City, Out of Bounds Fest in Austin, and and Blue Whale Comedy In Tulsa. She's performed in comedy clubs, colleges, and good old fashioned dive bars across her native Texas. In 2017 she landed a coveted spot on the 3rd season of PBS Documentary-series "Stand Up Empire" which profiles Austin's top up and coming comedians.

We are so stoked to have in charge of your musical enjoyment for HaHa Hospitality. Get to know Corina before our show on Dec 16th. (Ticket Link: https://www.granadatheater.com/event/52592-haha-hospitality-dallas/ ).
Born in Arezzo, Italy, Corina Grove is a singer/songwriter who began her affinity for music at 12 years old. Growing up with 18 siblings- most of them musically inclined- Corina was constantly surrounded by guitars. That exposure helped nurture her eagerness to sing and write.
In addition to the guitar, she also plays piano and the bass which are also incorporated into her creative process. She admires the likes of Jimmy page and Johnny Marr and has also been influenced by Kings of Leon, Led Zeppelin and The Cure. Her music exudes a myriad of sounds which include indie pop, rock with a hint of blues that is reflected through her soulful sound and dynamic range of pitch.
“I have always loved music — always. From a young age I would grab my guitar and sit in the basement of our house and write for endless hours. Music is one of the greatest gifts that life has given me and I want to share that feeling though my music” –Corina Grove
Corina grew up across borders. Her parents were traveling missionaries which aided her musical curiosity. Growing up on the road instilled a great desire in her to explore not only her music aspirations but the rest of the world that she has yet to see.
When Corina is not singing at different venues or working with various musicians in town, she focuses on working on her debut album. She’s played at a Mumford and Son’s festival, the House of Blues Dallas and has had the opportunity to work with many local musicians.
“I want to show with my music that WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO in life you can truly accomplish if you work hard and stay honest to yourself. Period. And if I change someone’s life with my lyrics and music that would be most rewarding”. –Corina Grove
