—VIDEO ACCESSIBILITY
The video opens with Valerie, one of DAC’s Access Specialists, standing at the front desk with the front sign.

Valerie signs to the camera, “Have you experienced barriers to communication access?” The camera nods its head figuratively.

Valerie asks, “Have you felt like your experiences are not being listened to or validated?” The camera nods its head figuratively.

Valerie grabs a chair out of the frame and sits on it in the frame. Valerie continues signing to the camera, “Here at Deaf Action Center, we understand. We’re hosting a community event on Friday, June 12th at 6:30PM - 8:30PM, titled “Communication Access Open Forum.” This is a space where we get together as a community. No one needs to be alone. We’re all in this together. This is an opportunity to share experiences about barriers, ask questions, and learn how to break the barriers. For this 6:30-8:30PM event, bring your own meal and coexist as a community. The goal is to gain knowledge, community building, and power in numbers. See you here!”

Valerie concludes. The video cuts to the DAC logo with a white background. Below the logo, the tagline appears in three following words in a wipe effect: “Advocacy”, “Communication.”, and “Empowerment.”
