Texas is expanding housing options in a big way. 🏡✨

Senate Bill 1567 — known as the “Golden Girls” bill — now allows more unrelated adults to live together in cities where this was once restricted. Think students, seniors, roommates, or friends splitting a home. This opens the door to more flexible and affordable living arrangements, especially around universities and job hubs.

Senate Bill 785 adds another layer of affordability by expanding where manufactured housing can be placed. With rising home prices, this gives buyers new pathways into homeownership without sacrificing stability or quality.

So what does this mean for you? Whether you’re planning to build, buy, or sell in the next 12–24 months, expect more inventory, more variety, and more density across Texas. The housing landscape is shifting—make sure you’re ready to navigate it. 🔑

Texas is tightening up how affordable housing really works — and it’s a win for working families. 🏘️✨

House Bill 21 makes developers prove genuine public benefit before receiving property tax exemptions. No more calling a project “affordable housing” without offering real affordability. This brings stronger accountability and ensures families get the support they need.

Senate Bill 840 also shakes things up by overriding city regulations that often slow down development. And with House Bill 23 streamlining the building permit process, projects in high-volume cities like Dallas and Fort Worth can finally move forward faster.

More clarity. More speed. More homes. Texas is laying the groundwork for a healthier, more accessible housing market. 🔑
