Aunt Extraordinaire. Writer. I have a passion for traveling and experiencing the world as well as a deep love for being an aunt to my 4 beautiful nieces - Milly (11), Mila (4), Stella (2), and Payleigh (1). I hope to share my own journey, anecdotes and wisdom to other aunts as well as highlight my travels around the world. I hope that we can all inspire each other and learn something new along the way.

I’ve been drinking Mushroom Coffee for several years. I like that it has less caffeine than a cup of coffee and some added nutrients. And when paired with my favorite oatmilk , it’s such a treat.

For the past 2 years has been my mushroom coffee of choice. It blends well, tastes so good, has collagen, and lots of fun swag and bonuses.

Because I like to shake things up, I’m testing out superfood mushroom coffee. It just came in the mail and I’m so excited to try it out!

Have you tried Mushroom Coffee before? Which brands do you like? I’d love to hear!

And while mushroom coffee seems pricey, it’s much cheaper than going to a coffee shop regularly. Although I do love coffee shop life. 😅

*I am not an official ambassador for either coffee brands, but do have a $10 off coupon for Atlas+. DM me if you’d like it.

What do you notice when the noise stops?

This morning, I was working out outside with a small group. Loud music playing. Lots of movement and focusing on the next set. At the end, we slowed down, the music shifted to calming meditative music. The talking ceased. While lying in savasana, I noticed the beautiful singing of the birds.

“How interesting,” I thought.

I hadn’t heard the birds the entire time we were outside until the noise stopped.

Which caused me to think, what else are we missing by being in the noise of life, and the noise of our own thoughts?

For many, the idea of meditation or slowing down is scary because it’s quiet. It’s still. When things slow down, we hear the emotions we’d rather not be with it. We see the reality of our lives that we’d rather not see. The parts we wish were different. The pain we don’t want to feel.

But, we also miss out on so much more - like the singing of the birds.

Next time you’re in your car, turn off the music, the podcasts, the audiobooks, the radio. Or when you’re on a walk, bring nothing but yourself with you.

See what you notice. See what comes up.

Perhaps you too will hear the singing of the birds.
