With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dr. Erica G. Gladney. She lived boldly, loved deeply, and lifted others endlessly. Whether cheering for Jackson State, serving through AKA, or pouring wisdom into her students, she gave the world her very best.

As a dedicated Life Member of JSUNAA, and formerly serving as our beloved DFW Membership Chair, Erica worked tirelessly to move our mission forward. She will be profoundly missed.

As we prepare for tonight’s coronation of Mister JSU 2025-26 Jarek Peterson and Miss JSU 2025-26 Lauren Ballard, we proudly honor those who came before them. Salute to our shining jewels of JSUNAA DFW:

Summer is here, and it’s a great time to celebrate connection and community while also honoring Men’s Mental Health Month. Let’s continue to support, check in on, and uplift the men in our lives. Join us this weekend for our Annual Texsippian Cookout filled with food, music, and good vibes for the whole family. Lawn chairs and tents are welcome.
