❄️ Is your AC line covered in ice?
A lot of homeowners see ice on the copper line and think:
👉 "Maybe I just need new insulation."
Unfortunately, that's usually NOT the problem.
If your AC is freezing up, the most common causes are:
🌪️ Poor airflow
❌ Dirty air filter
❌ Dirty evaporator coil
❌ Blower motor issues
💨 Refrigerant problems
❌ Low refrigerant charge
❌ Refrigerant leak
❌ Refrigerant restriction
Here's the important part:
⚠️ Ice on the outdoor line usually means the indoor coil is frozen too.
When that happens:
❌ Cooling performance drops
❌ Energy bills increase
❌ Compressor damage becomes possible
What should you do?
✅ Turn cooling OFF
✅ Run FAN ONLY mode
✅ Let the system thaw completely
Then have the system properly diagnosed.
Adding refrigerant without finding the cause is not a repair.
Adding insulation alone is not a repair.
The goal is to find the ROOT problem.

❄️ AC running… but house still not cooling properly?
Before you panic or assume the system is dead, start with a few basic checks 👇
✅ 1. Check the air filter
A clogged filter can restrict airflow and reduce cooling performance.
✅ 2. Make sure the OUTDOOR unit is running
Fan spinning? Any strange buzzing or humming sounds?
✅ 3. Check your thermostat settings
Cool mode ✔️
Fan set to AUTO ✔️
✅ 4. Look for ice buildup
Ice on copper lines or indoor coil usually means airflow or refrigerant issues.
✅ 5. Check the drain line / float switch
A clogged drain can partially shut the system down.
⚠️ If the system is:
❌ Blowing warm air
❌ Running constantly
❌ Cooling very slowly
❌ Short cycling on/off
…then it may be:
🔧 Bad capacitor
💨 Low refrigerant
⚡ Electrical issue
🧊 Airflow restriction
Important:
Don’t keep lowering the thermostat hoping it’ll “catch up.”
That usually doesn’t fix the real problem.

⚡ AC keeps blowing the 3A fuse?
This is a classic low-voltage short — and it’s not a simple fix.
We’ve seen homeowners replace the fuse…
👉 It blows again instantly
👉 Replace again… same result
That’s your system telling you:
❌ There’s a short somewhere in the circuit
Common causes:
🔌 Low-voltage wire rubbed through (very common)
🐭 Chewed wiring inside the condenser
⚡ Shorted contactor coil
🧠 Faulty control/defrost board
Here’s the tricky part:
The system might look fine until it calls for cooling —
Then the fuse blows immediately.
That means:
➡️ The short only appears under load
➡️ You need proper testing to isolate it
⚠️ What NOT to do:
❌ Keep replacing fuses
❌ Guess and swap parts
❌ Bypass safety circuits
That’s how small electrical issues turn into major damage.
✔️ Proper diagnosis = tracing the short step-by-stepThen
✔️ Identifying the exact component or wire
✔️ Fixing the root cause — not the symptomstep-by-step

🔧 Full HVAC system replacement completed yesterday ✅
Another home upgraded with a complete, properly installed system:
✔️ Cooper&Hunter heat pump system
✔️ RunTru furnace (by Trane)
✔️ New evaporator coil
✔️ Custom supply & return plenums
✔️ New drain pan & condensate setup
✔️ Full system reconfiguration for proper airflow
This wasn’t just a “swap” — it was a full install done the right way.
Why it matters:
⚡ Proper airflow = better efficiency
🌡️ Correct setup = longer system life
💧 Drain system done right = no future water damage
Most issues we see come from poor installation — not the equipment itself.
We focus on:
✔️ Clean workmanship
✔️ Proper materials
✔️ System performance — not shortcuts
