Girl Scout DreamLabs are girls-only innovation hubs popping up across the nation, and was ready to bring them to the Longhorn State. With the opening of DreamLabs in Denton and Dallas counties, including a $1.7M flagship facility in under-resourced southern Dallas, launched a bold, multi-year effort to reimagine how a 100+ year-old organization breaks barriers for girls and communities.
Designed to be open to ALL girls—whether they are a Girl Scout or not—DreamLabs expand access to leadership development, STEM, entrepreneurship, creativity, and community connection.
To bring these spaces to life, we created more than grand openings—we built immersive, community-driven experiences that spotlighted the hubs’ hands-on STEM, podcast and media studios, climbing and cooking spaces, and family-friendly programming.
We were thrilled by the results and success of these openings:
• 300+ guests at the Denton County opening
• Nearly 600 guests in Dallas County
• 70+ earned media placements in five months
• 17M+ media reach (25,000%+ increase over the prior period)
• 500% ROI based on earned media value
From donors and educators to families, community leaders, and media, the excitement was undeniable—and the DreamLab movement is just getting started. 💚💚💚

SparkFarm was founded 16 years ago, in the 2009 recession, by veteran marketers who loved our jobs and families. We had been laid off from big-agency jobs that offered little flexibility to working parents, especially to working moms. So we beat a new path.
We created SparkFarm as a space that would allow women at the top of their game, women who also are family caregivers, to continue building their careers, do great work, and care for themselves and their families.
We are deeply saddened and disappointed by yesterday’s announcement by acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock to freeze Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) certifications for state procurement.
This move doesn’t actually impact SparkFarm. Despite having been an HUB-certified woman-owned company for the last eight years, less than 1% of our revenue derives from that program. So we stand in support of reputable woman-, minority-, and veteran-owned businesses that do depend on a program that was created to rectify historical injustice.
In a release sent by the Comptroller’s office, Hancock said, “Our office is committed to protecting taxpayer funds and ensuring that every Texas business has an equal opportunity to compete for government contracts. This action today reflects that commitment and reinforces Texas’ longstanding principles of fairness and accountability.”
We challenge Hancock’s notion that DEI programs don’t support fairness and accountability. Our clients choose to work with us because we are good at our jobs, because we produce great results, and because we are ethical and fun. This is true for ANY BUSINESS that’s still in business.
To all of our clients, colleagues, collaborators, and subcontractors: we see and appreciate you. And we love being at the table with you.
