HUGE: New York City just had the safest first 5 months of a year in recorded history under Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

The Paulding County Democratic Committee invites all members, supporters, and community allies to our June Business Meeting! We will discuss the June 16 runoff election and discuss how we can reach our organizing goals to WIN this year.

Our main order of business will be to elect post seat holders and state convention delegates.

Post seat holders are the formal governing body of the committee. They vote on committee business including bylaws changes, budgets, and expenditures, and serve a four-year term. Post seat holders are expected to be active volunteers for the committee and to lead or work on subcommittees. Half of the post seat holder positions are filled in gubernatorial election years and half are filled in presidential election years.

Post Seat Holders are elected by caucus of all committee members (Paulding residents) who are present. Three seats are to be filled in each county commission district, plus three seats elected at-large.

The Post Seat Holders whose terms are expiring are: Post 1: Bruce Brand, Madison Delille Post 2: Celeste Graham Post 3: Dale Campbell, Debra Chandler, Margaret Rhodes, Mary Webb Post 4: Diana Spangler

Also on June 13, the Paulding County Democratic Committee will elect eight delegates and four alternates to the 2026 Democratic Party of Georgia state convention, to be held in Savannah on August 1.

Four delegates and two alternates will be elected by the PCDC Post Seat Holders, and four delegates and two alternates will be elected by the general membership in attendance. Our four state committee members are also delegates.

These elections are open to the public. Anyone who wishes to be a post seat holder, convention delegate, or alternate should email [email protected] by June 12. Nominations will also be accepted at the June 13 meeting.

This is your chance to get involved, stay informed, and help shape the future of our county, state, and country!

At this meeting, we will be sharing details of a special donation campaign related to Paulding residents who are carrying medical debt. More info to come!
