After completing a school year, talk to your designated school official (DSO) to confirm your eligibility and get your Form I-20 signed if you plan to travel outside the US. If you're not eligible for vacation or taking it at a different time, ensure you enroll in a full course of study. Remember, if your program is complete, you have 60 days to leave the US, unless you're starting a new program, engaged in practical training, or on cap gap.
