Avanir Pharmaceuticals agreed to pay more than $95 million to resolve kickback allegations and charges of "false and misleading marketing" of dextromethorphan-quinidine (Nuedexta) to manage dementia behavior, an unapproved indication, the Justice Department announced.
Just one day later, Avanir reported its phase III trial of deudextromethorphan hydrobromide-quinidine sulfate -- a version of Nuedexta -- failed at treating agitation in Alzheimer's patients.

When you read the whole article the headline becomes "less true and less meaningful" in day to day detection or screening for Alzheimer's. This is another example of headline Truthiness rather then the whole truth.
