New research suggests a different approach will literally ignight learning! Yes, true! Remember the self fulfilling prophecy? It turns out more of our attention should be focused on shaping positive beliefs than all the other activities we do. Teaching children their worth and significance causes them to believe in their ability to acheive. 😁💖

When you want to create lasting change participants will need ongoing feedback regarding the changes they are making. They will require guidance, uplifting feedback showing they are making choices that support the insights they want to create in their classroom. Professional Development, the one shot after-school class is a good start, but it will not be enough to sustain the desired changes with-out feedback and accountability. I was discussing with a friend today why PD never truly makes much of a difference. New information tells us we are defined by our habits. Since we create those habits we can change them. Why then is it so hard to change our habits? Because they bring us comfort and we created our habits to avoid the uncomfortable feelings we did not want to face about ourselves. We can change how we look at ourselves. Using a forgiving, loving, attitude of gratefulness we can forgive ourselves for not knowing everything and how to fix it all immediately. True learning comes through experience, awareness, and then redirecting our own path. This is why professional development cannot be done through classes alone. I can reveal new technology that will speed reflection and increase development exponentially!!!
