Reminder: early in the hurricane season, we can see CAG’s or “Central American Gyres” form in the Gulf. Also, many longer-range models may try to form these in the far-reaches of the extended range forecasts.

They’re hardly ever a major issue even if they form. So, if and when you see social media posts of “something” forming, which inevitably happens every year, at this time, please keep these things in mind.
