The Pooch Patio

DALLAS ISD has announced they will be closed Tuesday 1/27/26. Due to current road conditions and tonight's expected cold temperatures, The Patio will also be closed Tuesday 1/27/26.


In light of North Texas' impending winter weather advisory in effect for the next couple of days and this winter season, we wanted to let our clients know how we will be handling any prospective facility closures due to bad weather.

The Pooch Patio operates 7 days a week and we will follow the guidelines of the Dallas Independent School District regarding closures. On upcoming inclement weather days where ice, snow and low temps are expected, and DISD is on a delay or mandates a closure, our facility will also be closed for all services. Rest assured that existing boarding clients will have staff staying overnight to provide care and we will reach out to each of our boarding clients to arrange pick up/drop off if you are still able to travel.

Please be advised that if you have grooming appointments scheduled on any days the facility ends up closing, that we will do our very best to get you rescheduled as soon as possible. Also, please be advised that if we are open but there is snow or ice accumulation and you have pet taxi services booked, then we will be contacting you about prospective service delays and or necessary cancellations on that day. Social play will be modified to shorter play time or potty breaks and cuddle sessions.

We will make a decision about Tuesday 1/27 latest tomorrow.
